Thanksgiving Hello! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and are looking forward to a beautiful Christmas. I would love to hear how you are doing. My husband and I went to my parents' house. I played with my niece, Thea after having our turkey dinner. We watched Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and drew pictures. I am currently making a blanket/quilt with a scene from Kirby's Epic Yarn on it. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. I've never made a quilt before! I bought furry blue fabric and felt. I drew on the blue fabric with chalk to know where to put the felt. Have a great day!
Karate http://videos.bnd.com/vmix_hosted_apps/p/media?id=21157961 Karate Fitness is on bnd.com! Look closely you can see me. My husband is shown often! ^_^
Fall! Hello everyone! I am trying to update more frequently. Halloween is coming soon and I hope you enjoy dressing up and getting or giving candy. As I got older I loved passing the candy out at home (I still dressed up.) This way I could see all the kids in their costumes. We don't get any trick-or-treaters at our apartment. Since Halloween falls on a Sunday this year, I think one of my friends is throwing a party. Feel free to email me and send me a picture of you in your costume or at your Halloween gatherings! My aunt and cousin took in some tiny bunnies. They saved them from being eaten by a fox and then will release them back into the wild. ![]()
Hello to all! Hello everyone! It has been a long time since I posted anything. I am currently working at David's Bridal sewing, beading and pressing. It is a lot of fun. Also....While I am not teaching in an academic school setting I help out here: http://karatefitness.net/ I help teach Mondays from 6:30-7:15. It is a lot of fun. We have ages 5-12. I have worked with Sensei Jeff Harris for 6 years. Let me know if you're interested in a class and I'll be sure to be available! You can always email me at kvweltzin@yahoo.com!
Summer? Hello! It has been a while, I know. Things are a little crazy. I just got back from Maine yesterday from a visit with family. Here are the good things about my trip: 1. I got to eat lobster 2. I saw all my family! 3. I met Brody, my cousin and her husband's new baby. 4. And their new golden retriever puppy named Ralphie 5. We all went shopping and I helped my Grammie find a new outfit. 6. Red Sox t-shirts! 7. I bought matching shirts with one of my cousins 8. One of the hotels had a phone in the bathroom by the toilet. I had never seen this before in a hotel. 9. NESN. (New England Sports Network- broadcats all the Sox games!) 10. The big L.L. Bean store in Freeport, Maine. 11. Seeing the movie Inception with my cousin. 12. Taking pictures of everyone. 13. Spending time at my aunt and uncle's lake house Here are the not good things: 1. There was a HUGE storm in southern Maine. I saw the funnel cloud of a tornado. 2. My Grammie fell, which prolonged our visit. We are all very thankful that she is ok and did not break any bones or anything. She was released from the hospital the next day. The good far outweighs the bad, but I'd drive through 100 awful storms if my Grammie had not fallen! I hope the rest of your summer is beautiful! PS I don't have time to reply or forward on chain letters on email. Please don't send them. Besides, you all know I think you are awesome!
Happy Summer! Happy 4th of July! I hope you can take the time to remember and be thankful for our country and the people who helped make it. I hope you get to see fireworks if you want to and you can spend time with your family. Have a wonderful holiday and 3 day-weekend! ![]()
Good morning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjJ4ND2yZ-M Cute maltese puppies....in a bucket I went running the other day and discovered a little white Westie dog that lives in the subdivision behind us. Her name is actually Coconut after the American Girl dog. It's the same breed and everything. She's cute and likes tummy rubs. Now when I go running I look for her. Anyone watching the World Cup? Go team USA!
Happy Summer! Hello! I hope you are enjoying your summer! It's hot, and I've been at the pool and Maggie Moo's a good share of it. I forgot to leave you with an email. May 4, 2010 Good afternoon! The year is winding down. Here are some fun dates to remember: May 7 is May Crowning. Bring a flower to Mass! Also, there is early dismissal May 5 at 1:30. A haiku for you to ponder: Let's have a great end of the year!
Spring! Good evening! We have been learning a lot in school. As the weather gets warmer we have enjoyed the sun in our classroom! Everyone who participated in the Science Fair did a great job. Congratulations to those who received ribbons. In Writing we are crafting mysteries. I look forward to reading them to figure out whodunit. In Reading we have been looking at rights. We have read about women's suffrage and equal rights for all people regardless of their race. Harriet Tubman was in our reading also for her courage and bravery. Social Studies has been incredibly intriguing! We won our independence, fought the War of 1812, and are in the Industrial Revolution! Hooray for invention and technology! In Math we are halfway through the chapter on gemontry. We are studying types of polygons, measuring angles and exploring symmetry. You will be able to view our symmetrical art in the hallway soon. This is just a little tidbit of the learning we have been doing! Check back for more updates!
